Ice Crew – Chicago Wolves

The Chicago Wolves Hockey Team seeks enthusiastic, high-energy individuals to serve as members of the Chicago Wolves Ice Crew for the 2017-18 season. The Ice Crew will be responsible for clearing snow from both goal creases and the bench area during all home games.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced ice skating ability is required
  • Available to work most weekend home games (Friday/Saturday evenings, Sunday afternoons) and some weeknights from October to April (plus playoffs, as needed)

Game Operations – Game-Day Entertainment Crew – Spirit Team

The Chicago Wolves are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to serve as members of our Spirit Team for the 2017-18 season. The position provides a great opportunity to interact with fans and to learn about the operations of a professional sports team by working home games and events. It is also a great opportunity to get started in the sports industry and build your resume.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, operate, and manage the team’s fan-interactive Kids Zone
  • Promote Skates Mates Kids Club registrations and help increase memberships
  • Facilitate team’s various charitable initiatives, including 50/50 raffle sales, Chuck-A-Puck sales, and charity drive collections
  • Assist with team’s midseason and year-end merchandise sales
  • Assist with other non-game events (optional)

Wolf Pack Promotional Team

The Chicago Wolves are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible women to serve as members of our Wolf Pack promotional team for the 2017-18 season. The position provides a great opportunity to interact with fans and to learn about the operations of a professional sports team, by assisting with in-game promotions and contests during all home games.

CHICAGO WOLVES TICKET SALES – GAME DAY STAFF (Part-Time)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Chicago Wolves are seeking individuals to work alongside the ticket sales staff in executing game day duties at home games for the 2017-18 season. Ticket Sales Game Day staff will perform customer service and fan engagement duties before, during, and after Wolves games. Game Day Ticket Sales staff can expect to gain resume building, real-world skills in event marketing and management, sales leadership, and customer service.

The Game Day staff position will run from October until the end of the season and is a paid position, by game.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pre-game setup and post-game breakdown
  • Assisting in event management, programming duties and fan experience engagements
  • Provide customer service to fans and distribute promotional ticket information
  • Aiding preparation and execution of youth hockey on-ice experiences
  • Help manage and collect fan data through name capture programs
  • Work the customer service booth and learn how to facilitate in game issues
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Arrive on time, be organized and behave in a professional manner
  • Must be able to function in fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
  • Able to move around the arena and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends

CHICAGO WOLVES TICKET SALES – FUTURE OPENINGS

JOB SUMMARY:

We are always looking to meet new faces who are hungry to sell! Submit your resume for review if you are a business-minded, curious and self-motivated professional ready to develop sales acumen while generating revenue. We are seeking candidates who are interested in achieving sales success through season tickets and group outings, not for candidates “looking to get into sports.”

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make minimum of 70 outbound sales calls each day
  • Actively prospect new business through area businesses, organizations and leads provided through in-house data capture efforts
  • Upsell inbound calls
  • Achieve weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales goals
  • Track all contacts with customers via Archtics ticketing software
  • During the season, staff all home games, with duties assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and be a team player
  • High energy
  • Ability to remain focused on sales goals and strive for achievement
  • Ability to move around the arena to visit clients during home games and to escort and show potential customers various seating options and other on-site facilities
  • Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Prior experience in sales, telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling is preferred
  • High energy; ability to remain focused on sales goals strive for achievement

Community Relations Intern – Game-Day (Paid Position)

The Chicago Wolves are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual with a passion for fundraising and giving back to serve as the Community Relations Intern on gamedays during the 2017-18 season. The position provides a great opportunity to interact with fans and to learn about the community relations of a professional sports team. This is also a great opportunity to build your resume within the sports industry. This is a part-time, paid position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate team’s various charitable initiatives including 50/50 raffle sales, Chuck-A-Puck sales, silent auctions, Scratch & Win sales, merchandise sales, and more.
  • Assist in executing game-day fundraising events including specialty jersey auctions and raffles, puck sales, and more.
  • Assist in the set-up and breakdown of the Chicago Wolves Charities table.
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer questions for fans as needed.
  • Work alongside and assist the Community Relations Sr. Coordinator as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Responsible and can be relied on to perform assigned tasks.
  • Motivated and comfortable interacting with fans.
  • Work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Helpful, enthusiastic, and friendly.
  • Available to work all home games (October through April and playoffs, as needed).

50/50 Jackpot Game-Day Seller: (Paid Position)

Reports to: Community Relations Sr. Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Chicago Wolves are seeking high-energy, motivated individuals with a passion for fundraising and giving back to the community to join our 50/50 Jackpot sales team for the 2017-18 season. This is a great opportunity to get started in the sports industry and is a part-time, paid position.

Job Description:

  • Sell 50/50 Jackpot tickets in an enthusiastic manner.
  • Actively approach fans to explain the details of the 50/50 Jackpot program.
  • Utilize portable electronic tablets and printers for the sale of tickets.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately throughout the game.
  • Achieve nightly personal and group fundraising goals.
  • Answer fan questions regarding the 50/50 Jackpot.
  • Time Requirement: Arrive 90 minutes before game-time. Shift ends at the end of the 2nd intermission.

Qualifications:

  • Must be prompt and arrive to games on time.
  • Responsible, motivated, and comfortable interacting with fans.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work a majority Chicago Wolves games for the 2016-17 season (October through April, and playoffs as needed).
  • Prior customer service and sales experience is a plus.
  • Candidates must be willing to work nights and weekends.
