With four regular-season games remaining, the Wolves magic number is 1 to clinch the 15th playoff berth in the franchise’s 18-year history. Chicago (40-26-3-3) also holds a four-point advantage over Milwaukee in the Midwest Division race.
Eight teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs. The three division winners are seeded first through third in order of points and the next five teams in order of points are seeded fourth through eighth.
The Wolves are in the midst of a season-high seven-game road trip that continues with a contest against the Texas Stars at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The team’s next home game is slated for 7 p.m. Saturday against Milwaukee.
